Much to the joy of gamers everywhere, Blizzard recently has decided to re-release one of its most legendary titles, Diablo. Originally launched on 31 December 1996, the game is now available exclusively and DRM-free through GOG.com for USD 9.99 (~RM 41).
If you worried that a 23 year old game will not be able to withstand the power of a 2019’s PC, fret not. According to the joint news release from the two companies, the game is compatible with Windows 10 out of the box.
That being said, O.G players out there or young (heh) gamers out there who wonder how gaming in 1996 feels like can choose to play Diablo in its original 20fps SVGA graphics. Not only that, the classic version of Battle.net has also been included with the game.
Meanwhile, the release of Diablo marked the first classic re-release from Blizzard at GOG.com. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II are coming next although details regarding their rollouts are not yet available at the moment.
