While the world is being mesmerized by its thicc absolute unit sizeable Energizer Power Max 18,000mAh phone which made its debut at Mobile World Congress 2019, you might think that Avenir Telecom would maybe just stop at that for this year. As it turns out, the French company still have another interesting device in the pipeline for release later this year: an Energizer foldable phone.
The choice is rather obvious as the foldable form factor has become the rage of the industry with market leaders such as Samsung and Huawei have unveiled their take on it through Fold and Mate X within the past two weeks. Interesting enough, Avenir’s upcoming foldable device will be equipped with flagship-level specs too.
To feature a 6-inch front display together with another 8.1-inch internal display, the company stated that its Energizer Power Max P8100S foldable phone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 alongside 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. With support for microSD card of up to 256GB, the device will also come with dual SIM capability and 5G connectivity.
Camera-wise, Power Max P8100S comes with a 24MP front camera, in addition to a 48MP + 12MP dual camera system on its back. Since it is being positioned under the Power Max series, it is not surprising that the Energizer foldable phone will also be packed with a rather large 10000mAh battery that supports fast charge capability.
As opposed to the Power Max P18K Pop, there was no working model shown at Energizer Mobile’s booth during MWC. There was a mockup model of the device there but it looked rather rough though. So, all in all, we have to wait till Avenir ready to unveil a working unit in October 2019.
