Razer has announced the opening of its new country office for Malaysia. Located at UOA Corporate Tower in Bangsar South, it is an interesting move by the gaming company although not exactly surprising.
Through its new Malaysian office, Razer intends to make another push for its Razer Pay e-wallet. Being the official eSports partner for the upcoming 2019 SEA Games, the company also intends to share its expertise with the community and industry when it comes to gaming events.
So what does this mean for the average consumer? For starters, merchants in the Bangsar South area will begin accepting Razer Pay. UOA itself is also looking to have the Razer Pay as a car park payment option.
But on a broader scale for general consumers, it doesn’t mean much, unfortunately. This means no faster deliveries of your orders from the official Razer store, or faster warranty claims for your Razer products. That said, CEO Min-Liang Tan did say that the company will continue to observe the growth of the company in Malaysia, and see which direction the company invests in.
