Ookla, the company who owns the interactive test site, Speedtest, has released its fixed broadband report for Malaysia. Based on its report, the telco TIME has unsurprisingly been crowned the fastest fixed network in the country.
The ranking was given based on test results taken from using Speedtest by Ookla on their web and mobile platform. The test, conducted over the period of Q3 and Q4 of 2018, shows that TIME provided better internet connection with fast upload and download speed.
Based on the analysis of over 12 million consumer-initiated tests, TIME was able to achieve average download speeds of up to 266Mbps and upload speeds of 286Mbps. In contrast, both TM and Maxis were only able to achieve less than half of the speed of TIME’s.
Regarding the award, TIME said that it was pleased that Ookla recognises its achievement in ensuring the fixed fibre network is the fastest in Malaysia. The telco also added that it will make its services better. While pushing to advance its internet provision technology. As well as to improve its customers’ internet experience.
