Google Duo is now live on the web. Previously, Google Duo has only been available in the form of an app from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store. Seeing how well the app is doing, Google has decided to make it available for browsers. Users can now make calls over Google Duo on Chrome, Firefox as well as Safari.
To get started with Google Duo web is simple. It does not require a phone number authentication or QR code scans. Just simply log into your Google account and you are good to go.
Once logged in, the page will show you all your synced Duo contacts, which you can then start a call with. However, the person you call must be signed in to Google Duo as well. You can also choose to answer Duo calls on your phone instead of the web. Last but not least, it has browser notifications for incoming calls so you’ll never miss a call.
At the time of writing, Google has not yet made an official announcement for Google Duo web. The web link, however, has already been released and is working. Visit duo.google.com to check it out yourself.
