Just a few days before Mobile World Congress 2019 opens its doors, OPPO has officially announced that its new 10x lossless zoom camera is now ready for mass production. In fact, the company has also revealed that the new camera tech will be making its way to an upcoming phone that will be meeting consumers soon.
Claimed to be the world’s first, OPPO 10x lossless zoom camera module is actually comprised of three different cameras. The first being a 120-degrees ultra-wide camera which then followed by the 48MP main camera and the 10x zoom camera.
OPPO has also stated that it has managed to implement optical image stabilization in both the ultra-wide camera as well as the high-res main camera. However, the company didn’t provide the full specifications for its camera module which means details such as exact lens aperture and sensor resolution for the two other cameras are not yet known for the moment.
OPPO stated that despite having a very complex camera system, the company managed to put all of these cameras into a module that has a thickness of just 6.76mm which is equivalent to the camera module on the company’s existing R17 Pro.
Consumers can expect to see the new triple camera module on a brand-new OPPO smartphone that will be released within the Q2 of 2019.
