Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy S10 line of smartphones. Not only does this mark the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy S series, but the company made sure to pack them full of new features. Here are five of them that you should take a look at.
Intelligent Performance
The Samsung Galaxy S10 line of devices comes with the company’s Exynos 9820 SoC. The new SoC boasts a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which allows the on-board AI to better manage and optimise both performance and battery life of the Galaxy S10 devices. In turn, you’ll have better performance when you need it, and better battery life when you don’t.
Epic Camera Shot
The camera has become one of the most important parts of today’s smartphones. As such, Samsung has made sure to cover all your camera-related needs with the Galaxy S10 smartphones.
The 16MP sensor with f/2.2 lens featuring an ultra-wide field of view of 123-degrees is coupled with another wide-angle 12MP camera with OIS. Together with the Super Steady feature, these bring you clear and steady shots, be they photos or videos.
Ultrasonic In-Display Fingerprint
Available on the Galaxy S10 and S10+ is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that’s been built into the display itself. It’s fast and accurate, without needing you to be – just place your finger on the bottom portion of the screen, and voila.
Cinematic Infinity-O Display
Side bezels have been a thing of the past for quite awhile, and it’s only fair that the bezels on the top and bottom join them. With the Samsung Galaxy S10’s Infinity-O display, the screen claims the entirety of the phone’s front, giving you a better viewing experience. The front-facing camera is tucked inobtrusively away at the corner, so that it doens’t get in your view when you don’t want it to.
Wireless Powershare
With the Samsung Galaxy S10 having intelligent battery life management, you may not have to worry too much about it running out of power. Others may not be so lucky, and you can share excess battery juice to them if you feel inclined. All this can be done wirelessly too, assuming the other device that needs charging also supports wireless charging.
If all of these features sound like something you want in a smartphone you own, then you’ll be glad to know that the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is also already open for pre-order. You can do so via Samsung Malaysia’s official pre-order page.
