Nike fans have been experiencing some difficulties with their Nike Adapt BB. Specifically, Nike users who use Android smartphones are having difficulty with the sneaker brand’s “Nike Adapt” app.
Based on the reviews on the official app’s Google Play page, several users are complaining about how the app wouldn’t work properly. With problems ranging from it not pairing with the shoes at all, to one user specifying that the app would only pair itself with one shoe before eventually crashing. Hard resetting the sneakers seems to provide something of a fix, but even that is temporary.
Needless to say, the majority of the same Android users have expressed their frustration by giving the app a 1-star rating on the marketplace.
For the uninitiated, Nike Adapt BB is the brand’s latest smart sneakers to be released to the consumer. One unique selling point of these new sneakers is its ability the “self-lace” via onboard motors built into the base of the shoe. The Nike Adapt app was launched and meant to complement the sneakers. Acting as the hub for activating the self-lacing feature, as well as to customise the shoe’s built-in lights.
Nike has responded to the complaints and reports by Android users. Assuring users that a fix is on the way.
