Google has dominated a fair share of our internet-browsing habits, from search engines to emails. But one major aspect of online life that the search engine has yet to lay claim to is gaming, and the company is looking to change that.
TechPowerUp reports that the brand has sent out a cryptic GIF to game developers and press. It doubles as an invite to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019, where the company promises to “reveal all,” whatever that means.
Earlier last year, The Information reported that Google is already developing a subscription-based game streaming service, codenamed Yeti. Kotaku then followed up by reporting that Yeti will be a Chromecast-esque device that you use to stream video games. It may very well be considered a console, if video game streaming is indeed the future.

GDC 2019 is set to kick off on 18 March, which is still quite some time away. But it looks like that’s the date to look out for if we want to know more about Google’s major entry into the realm of video games.
