Acer officially held a press conference for its Predator League tournament here in Bangkok, Thailand. Officially kicking off the event that will take place over a span of three days.
This is the company’s second year of hosting the Predator League. It’s maiden launch and venue having been at Jakarta, Indonesia back in 2018. This year, the tournament will comprise two titles, Dota 2 and PUBG.
The total prize pool for the Predator League 2019 is also significantly larger last year’s tournament. With a pool of US$400000 (~RM1.63 million), a total of 26 teams will be competing against each other to win a prize pool totalling US$250000 (~RM1.01 million).
In total, there are 26 teams competing in the Acer Predator League 2019 tournament. These teams come from 16 territories from APAC. Including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Australia.
For Dota 2, 10 teams will be competing for the first place. Of the 10, two of the teams are our very home Team LOTAC and Team GeekFam. The latter being last year’s Acer Predator League 2018 Dota 2 champions.
Under the PUBG section, 16 teams will be vying in this latest game addition in the Acer Predator League 2019. Representing Malaysia will be Team Asbol.
The Acer Predator League 2019 is will properly commence starting tomorrow at 15 February, and will conclude on 17 February 2019.
