As Samsung’s Unpacked 2019 event is set to kick off in just another week, a new leak containing what is reportedly detailed specifications of the phones has appeared. Hardware specifications that reportedly covers the Galaxy S10e, S10, and the S10 Plus.
The leaked specs sheet of Samsung’s next flagship series comes by way of GSM Arena, which alleges that it had managed to gain access to this critical information through a source within Samsung. They’re not the most detailed sheets, but the majority of that information does seem to fall in line with earlier reports of the series.
The phones aren’t outrightly referred to by their respective “Galaxy S10” monikers either; The list seems to refer to the three phones as “Beyond0”, “Beyond1”, and “Beyond2”, but given the following specs, it’s quite obvious which device is which.
The Galaxy S10e (Beyond0) features a 5.8-inch QHD+ (2280 x 1080) Dynamic AMOLED HDR+ display, reinforced with Gorilla Glass 5. As for the Galaxy S10 (Beyond1) and S10 Plus (Beyond2), both devices have a 6.1-inch and 6.3-inch QHD+ (3040 x 1080) Dynamic AMOLED HDR+ Gorilla Glass 6 displays, respectively. The one thing that all three displays share in common, of course, is that all of them are using Infinity “O” displays.
Moving down the ladder, the Galaxy S10e’s fingerprint scanner seems to be situated on the side of the phone. Unsurprisingly, the fingerprint scanner for the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus seems to be built into the displays.
As per another earlier report, the Galaxy S10ephone only sports a dual 12MP f/1.5 + 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera setup, and not a triple camera setup. For that matter, Both the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus use the same 12MP f/2.4 Telephoto + 12MP f/1.5 Wide Dual Aperture + 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, triple-camera.
At the front, the story’s a little different. For the Galaxy S10e and S10, both phone sport a single 10MP f/1.9 “Duel Pixel AF UHD” front-facing camera sensor. While the Galaxy S10 Plus features an additional 8MP f/2.2 live focus camera sensor.
There’s also the memory and storage configuration. According to the leak, both the Galaxy S10e and S10 will have between 6GB and 8GB RAM, and a choice between 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. But it’s the Galaxy S10 Plus that takes the cake with its top-of-the-line variant sporting 12GB RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.
However exciting as all this information is, this is still information that has yet to be verified by Samsung. As such, we do advise you to take this article with a liberal sprinkling of salt, at least until the brand’s official Unpacked event next week.
