Samsung Vietnam has mistakenly published a video which featured a foldable phone. The video was then later taken down by the company but naturally, it was already being spread throughout the Internet before that happened.
In the video, the device is shown to have a clamshell form factor in a manner similar to a book. Not only that, the device also seems to feature an additional display on the outer side of the phone which is in line with what Samsung has mentioned previously.
Given the timing, it is rather plausible that the phone could be the very device that many expected to be launched at the Samsung Unpacked event in San Francisco later this month. Prior to this, Samsung has shown the world the Infinity Flex Display which the company believes could kick off the era of the foldable smartphone.
However, the video also showed futuristic applications though including mixed reality applications, augmented reality gaming, remotely controlled robots, and ultrasonic scanner attachment. Hence, it is quite likely that the foldable phone shown in the video could be part of these futuristic concepts.
Well, guess we will only able to know the answer on 20 February then.
