While ASUS might be rolling out only two NVIDIA GeForce RTX-based ROG gaming laptops in Malaysia tomorrow in the form of ROG Strix SCAR II and Hero II, there is still quite a number of them in the pipeline. During a recent media briefing, the company stated that local consumers should expect to see more of them next month.
One of them is the beastly ROG GX703 which comes with a 17-inch Full HD 144Hz IPS-level display and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics. Other specs of the laptop for Malaysia is not yet known although it can generally support up to 64GB DDR4-2666 RAM, three 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 solid state drive, 2.5-inch 1TB 5400rpm hybrid hard drive, and powered by two 280W power adapters.
Another ROG gaming laptop that will be making its way to Malaysia soon is the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 which we have briefly tested at the recent CES 2019. As per what you might have heard, the GX701 is generally the 17-inch version of the model which originally came as a 15-inch device.
We didn’t forget to ask about the ROG Mothership as well which one of the ASUS ROG’s main star at CES 2019. However, its release status in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment since many of the aspects within the Mothership has not yet been finalized. Then again, ASUS did mention that the highly unique device has a general global launch date in the second quarter of 2019.
Meanwhile, the ROG GX703, ROG Zephyrus S GX701, and ROG Zephyrus S GX531 will be made available in Malaysia right after Chinese New Year. Further details will be announced by ASUS Malaysia, so stay tuned.
