We’ve seen what looks like leaks of cases for the iPad mini 5, but that was the extent of all we’ve heard of about the next generation of small-sized Apple tablets. Until now, when reports that the tablets in question may show up within the first half of 2019 showed up.
AppleInsider reports that General Interface Solutions and TPK Holding will be making the touch system for new iPad devices in 2019. Nothing else was revealed about the device.
For more on that, we’ll have to go back to the reports of leaked cases. Based on the design of the case, it looks like the iPad mini 5 will sport the new iPad Pro redesign, looking more blocky and possibly featuring stereo speakers as well.
If the reports are true, then Apple is bound to make an announcement before the end of the first half. That said, the first half pretty much just started, so we may be in for quite the wait.
