This is something that has been rumored for quite a while, but it is only today that Apple has officially unveiled the Smart Battery Case for iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, and iPhone XR. This is not the first time that the company has released such case for its iPhone though since the company first did so a few years ago with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
While the design might look relatively the same, the new Smart Battery Case for the current generation of iPhone is still slightly different from its predecessor. This is due to the fact that the case is also designed to support Qi-certified wireless charger just like the three iPhones themselves.
At the same time, the case also supports USB-PD chargers. According to listing on Apple’s website, the Smart Battery Case is able to increase talk time of up to 39 hours as well as 22 hours of Internet usages and video playback of 24 hours depending on specific iPhone model.
Regardless of the model that you choose, the Smart Battery Case is priced at RM 539 each. Despite their appearances on Apple Malaysia’s official website, they are still not available for purchase at the moment though but nevertheless, it is only a matter of time before that changes.
