Fresh from their stints at CES 2019, several GIGABYTE gaming laptops are on their way to Malaysia as we speak. One of them of them is the latest iteration of the company’s signature thin and light laptop series, the Aero 15.
In Malaysia, the series will be made available in two different main models: the Aero 15-X9 and Aero 15-Y9. That being said, they generally looked no different from each other with the exception of their processors, graphics, and display options.
For example, both models maxed out at Intel Core i9-8950HK but the only the Aero 15-X9 can be obtained with the lower end Core i7-8750H processor. Same goes for their 15.6-inch display in which the Aero 15-Y9 exclusively come with AUO 4K panel while the Aero 15-X9 also has the option of LG 144Hz Full HD IPS panel alongside the AUO 4K display.
When it comes to graphics options though, each of these laptops is available with specific GPU though. The Aero 15-Y9 receives the higher-end option of the spectrum with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and the Aero 15-X9 comes standard with RTX 2070 instead.
Aside from the Aero 15 series, another GIGABYTE laptop that will be available in Malaysia very is the Aorus 15. While it might not be as thin as the Aero 15 laptops, this allows the laptop to offer more elaborate cooling setup in the form of 6 heat pipes and 7 air vents in addition to its 2 system fans.
That being said though, the components available for Aorus 15 in Malaysia are still not as high as Aero 15 as the laptop maxed out at Core i7-8750H, and GeForce RTX 20170 graphics. Additionally, the laptop also comes standard with a 15.6-inch LG Full HD 144Hz IPS panel.
Another interesting thing to note about all the Aero 15 and Aorus 15 laptops above is that they apparently have been fused with artificial intelligence that is powered by Microsoft Azure. GIGABYTE stated that the implementation allows these laptops to learn users’ usage patterns in order to dynamically provide them with optimum CPU as well as GPU settings in regards to their respective applications.
Price-wise, here is the price list for all of the GIGABYTE gaming laptops we mentioned above:
According to local authorized partner for GIGABYTE Notebooks in Malaysia, Tech Armory, all of these GIGABYTE gaming laptops will be available for pre-order starting from 29 January onwards. Customers who prefer to check them out before making any decisions are more than welcome to visit Tech Armory showroom in Bandar Sunway when these laptops arrived there sometime in early February.
