For some, 15-inch display on a gaming laptop is not big enough for their liking. If you are one of them, then Dell has a new option for you that the company has just introduced at CES 2019 and it comes in the form of Alienware m17.
As you might able to tell from its name, the Alienware m17 comes with a 17-inch display in several panel options: Full HD or 4K 60Hz IPS panel as well as the Quad HD 1440p 120Hz TN panel. Featuring the same thin design as per Alienware m15 and said to weigh less than 2.72 kg, Dell has claimed the Alienware m17 is the thinnest and lightest 17-inch gaming laptop in history.
In terms of other components, customers can choose to have it with up to Intel Core i9-8950HK processor alongside the newly introduced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics. It also able to support up to 32GB of RAM together with two 1TB PCIe M.2 solid state drive.
The Alienware m17 is also equipped with the brand’s new m-series keyboard which provides 1.4mm of travel distance alongside anti-ghosting capability, and AlienFX RGB lighting. Given the laptop’s size, a numeric keypad is a natural addition to it.
Speaking about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 Series graphics, Dell will also be offering the new option to Alienware m15. It is still not known at the moment when consumers in Malaysia are able to see both RTX-based laptops in Malaysia but nevertheless, the refreshed Alienware m15 and the new Alienware m17 will be generally released into the market starting from 29 January onwards in the United States.
