Lazada has become a staple within the e-commerce industry in Malaysia to the extent it has become a running joke among netizens that they have utilized the site to get everything thing including boyfriends and girlfriends. Based on the latest video posted by the company on its social media pages, it seems like Lazada going to make it a real thing.
The 6-seconds video which is available on Lazada’s Twitter and Facebook page depicts a collection of tweets that asking Lazada if they can obtain date-for-hire services through the site:

The video ended with a Chinese New Year-themed graphics which made us believe that this date-for-hire service might be part of Lazada’s upcoming CNY campaign. If that’s true, then the timing of the service is rather apt since boyfriend and girlfriend rental services have been closely associated with CNY especially in China.
While we not sure whether such services are even legal here in Malaysia, we do hope that Lazada will be having them as fun-spirited engagements that serve great causes such as community work and charities.
