Made it official debut in March 2018, it looks like there is still plenty of life going on for the design that Huawei introduced with its P20 series. We have seen it being implemented on some of the recently released Huawei devices such as Y 2019, Y Max, and Nova 4 with the list is about to grow further into the new year with the addition of the new P Smart 2019.
In its essence, the P Smart 2019 is a mid-range device that is powered by Huawei’s own Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor just like the Y9 2019 that was released into Malaysia last month. Instead of a rectangular display notch, the P Smart 2019 featured a teardrop-shaped notch instead which houses either 8MP or 16MP selfie camera depending on the respective variant of the device.
The phone comes standard with a 6.21-inch Full HD+ display alongside 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also features a dual rear camera setup with 13MP and 2MP sensors as well as a 3400mAh and micro USB port which is an odd inclusion for a 2019 model.
The Huawei P Smart 2019 can now be obtained in selected markets within Europe starting from 2 January onwards with a starting price of EU 250 (about RM 1184). However, it is not known whether the phone will be released at this side of the world anytime soon.
