Dauntless is a monster hunting game that was announced very shortly before Monster Hunter: World. While it’s good to see that the PC game hasn’t given up in the face of the genre’s progenitor, the even better news is that Dauntless is aiming to launch across PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch next year.
Developer Phoenix Labs announced that the game will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles starting April 2019. Later in the year, Dauntless will also make its way to the Nintendo Switch, and possibly the mobile segment.
Not only will the game be available for almost all platforms, but progression will be retained regardless of which platform you move to. This includes customisations and purchased items as well.
Of course, it’s important to note that this is what Phoenix labs aims to achieve. It remains to be seen if it will happen smoothly, or if it will have another Fortnite experience.
