Resorts World Genting and The VOID has announced a new hyper reality experience in collaboration with ILMxLAB. It’s called Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, and it’s located at the Skytropolis Funland, formerly known as the First World Indoor Theme Park.
But you may be thinking, what is this hyper reality experience? The simplest way to describe it is as a free-roaming VR experience, much like Zero Latency in The Rift. The only difference is that, considering the name, it will be an entirely Star Wars-based experience.
Before you head in, you’ll be outfitted with your VR gear – which consists of a backpack and headset. When that’s done, you’ll be guided further in before you’re given your simulation blaster. From there on, you play a Rebel soldier disguised as a Storm Trooper to recover an artifact that the empire has discovered.
The Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire hyper reality experience will be officially open to the public starting 6 December 2019. That said, tickets are priced at RM130 per person, and each session is best experienced in groups of four.
