Apart from an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q notebook, it looks like a GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card is also in the works. The discovery of the graphics card’s performance was posted on Twitter by Apisak, a PC enthusiast based in Thailand.
The unannounced GeForce RTX 2060 was found on the Final Fantasy XV benchmark page. Specifically, it was listed within the page’s 3860 x 2140 High Quality sub-section. Performance-wise, the card doesn’t to far much better than the previous generation GeForce GTX 1070, which is a bit disappointing. Especially since many of us were certainly expecting it to be marginally, if not significantly better than the GTX 1070.
As mentioned in an earlier article, it’s likely that the card in question may have been running on an unoptimised set of drivers. On top of that, NVIDIA hasn’t set an official availability date for the card, which effectively gives the brand plenty of time to actually iron out any other kinks that the card might have.
Beyond that, there’s not a whole of information about the card. Not even if this new mid-range card will feature RT Cores and Tensor Cores like its premium-tier siblings.
