In our earlier report, Samsung Malaysia has revealed that its quad-camera phone, the Galaxy A9 (2018) will be available on sale in our market starting from 23 November onwards. While its website has provided plenty of details regarding availability and early-birds promo, the company didn’t provide the pricing of the phone over there.
As it turns out, the price of the new phone was actually revealed in another manner. Specifically, through full-page advertisement on several newspapers including today’s edition of The Sun as shown in this screenshot below:
For RM 1999, you are looking at a phone with 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. In Malaysia, the Galaxy A9 also features 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
As pointed before, the quad camera setup on Galaxy A9 consisted of a 24MP f/1.7 camera as its main snapper alongside 10MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera, and 5MP f/2.2 depth camera. Together with a 24MP front camera, completing its general specifications is a 3800 mAh battery.
