Blizzard has just announced that the next Diablo game will be a mobile game. It’s called Diablo Immortal, and despite being a mobile game the company promises that it will be a “full-fledged action RPG.”
Set between the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III, the new Diablo mobile game is being categorized as a mobile massively Multiplayer Online Action RPG (MMOARPG) with six classes to start. As of now, Blizzard has announced six classes – Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard.

Details are scarce, but it promises features like the ability to drop in and out of groups easily, social hubs and of course, loot. The game is being co-developed by Blizzard and NetEase.

While there’s no launch date announced just yet, Blizzard is opening pre-registrations for a chance to join the upcoming beta. Though it does say that pre-registration is open on Google Play first, with the Apple App Store’s coming soon.
