It has been a decade since Alibaba’s first 11.11 sale, and now the company is expanding the promos to Malaysia as well. And rather than make you wait until the day itself, you can now take a look at what will be on sale, and pre-order them (in a sense) via the Tmall online store and mobile app.
Over 500000 items are already available for you to browse through. And if you see anything that piques your interest, you can place them in your Tmall cart first, and check out on 11.11. If you have any promo coupons, you can apply them to the items in your cart while waiting for the date itself.
There’s also a Taobao Lite Friend Referral Program, where you can gain prizes up to RMB100000 (~RM60000). All you need to do is to get your friends to sign up to Taobao Lite.
One advantage that shopping via Taobao will have over the other online stores is the transaction fees waiver, for purchases paid for using credit cards. If you use other online banking payment methods, then your transaction will have to be one of the first 150000 on the day. Shipping will also be free for Malaysian customers, for up to 2500 items.
