26 October is yet another significant date for Apple’s journey in Malaysia as it marked the official arrival of the new 2018 iPhone line-up in our market. Consisted of three different model that were first revealed to the world last month, they are being spearheaded by iPhone XS Max.
Equipped with 6.5-inch Super Retina OLED display, the new phone is powered by the equally new A12 Bionic processor which feature Neural Engine for AI-related applications. While Apple didn’t publicly disclose the amount of RAM that has been packed into its iPhone XS Max, regulatory filing as well as tear down by iFixit has revealed that the phone carries 4GB of RAM.
Other than that, the new iPhone XS Max also features a 12MP f/1.8 wide-angle camera alongside another 12MP telephoto cameras on its back. On the front of the phone is the 7MP f/2.2 TrueDepth camera for selfies and Face ID biometric security feature.
Just like its RAM configurations, the exact battery capacity on iPhone XS Max was not publicly listed by Apple although the company stated that the phone’s battery life is up to 1.5 hours longer than iPhone X. Nevertheless, the teardown by iFixit team showed that it is equipped with a 3179mAh battery.
Available in Malaysia from today onwards alongside iPhone XS and iPhone XR, the iPhone XS Max is priced at RM 5399 for the 64GB variant. For those who require bigger storage, they can opt for either 256GB or 512GB models which goes for RM 6099 and RM 7049 respectively.
