After having a rather positive outing with its P20 series earlier this year, Huawei is set to achieve the same with the newly launched Mate 20 series. Made its global debut in London last week, the new flagship class devices are set to be released in Malaysia this weekend.
Leading the new series is the Mate 20 Pro which is equipped with a 6.39-inch OLED 1440p display alongside Huawei’s own Kirin 980 processor together with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. In Malaysia, the model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Co-developed with Leica, the new phone offers three different cameras on its back that feature 40MP, 20MP, and 8MP sensors. Each of them is accompanied by f/1.8 wide-angle, f/2.2 ultra wide-angle, and f/2.4 3x telephoto lenses respectively.
There is also another 24MP f/2.0 camera on the front of Mate 20 Plus which comes with 3D depth sensing capability. Completing the general specifications of the IP68-certified phone is a 4200mAh battery that supports Huawei’s new 40W SuperCharge and Qi-based 15W Wireless Quick Charge features.
The new Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be made available in Malaysia starting from 27 October onwards for RM 3599. The standard Mate 20 model will be released on the same day as well for a slightly lower price of RM 2799.
