Logitech G has officially launched the G502 HERO gaming mouse. The mouse shares the same design as the brand’s G502 Proteus Core Gaming Mouse, and features incremental upgrades to its performance over its predecessor.
For starters, the G502 HERO is equipped with Logitech G’s new HERO sensor. Giving the mouse a maximum dots-per-inch count of 16000, versus the Proteus Core’s 12000 dpi. On top of that, the mouse is also capable of exceeding accelerations of up to 400 IPS while still retaining pixel-precise accuracy.
Besides that, the G502 HERO seems to retain many of the features that are found on its predecessor. The mouse still retains its ultra-fast 1ms report rate, comes with 11 programmable buttons, as well as the brand’s single-zone Lightsync RGB technology. However, the G502 HERO does come with two additional on-board memory profile than its predecessor. Bumping the number up to five.
The weight of the G502 HERO can also be customised via the provided small weights that can be placed just underneath the mouse. All you need to do is to detach the cover to expose the orifice beneath. Users can then add up a maximum of five 3.6g weights into the mouse.
The Logitech G G502 HERO gaming mouse will be made available sometime in mid-October 2018. The mouse will retail for RM349 upon availability.
