Remember when Sony announced its mid-range Xperia XA2 series during CES 2018? Well, new render images of what appears to be Xperia XA3 have appeared online. To our surprise, it’s actually not something we were expecting from the brand.
The leaked images of the phone come by way of MySmartPrice. According to these renders, it’s highly likely that the Xperia XA3 will be sporting a dual camera system, along with an 18:9 ratio near bezel-less display. Making it the first mid-range Xperia smartphone in the brand’s lineup to ever do so.
Unfortunately, additional information pertaining to the rest of the phone’s hardware is lacking. That said, rumours are pointing towards the possibility of the Xperia XA3 housing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, as much as 6GB RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage.
Regarding its main dual camera system; considering that the XA2 was fitted with a 23MP shooter, it’s highly likely that the two sensors of the Xperia XA3 will also be fairly large. Another feature which we’re glad to see on the rendered image is the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As a reminder, these rendered images of the yet-to-be released Xperia XA3 are not official, and Sony has yet to make any official statement on the device. So as always, do take these pictures and report with a healthy dose of skepticism.
