Customers of government owned Bank Simpanan Nasional are having a very bad September. A botched system upgrade which was initially scheduled from the 31st of August to the 4th of September, started causing numerous issues to customer accounts from lost transactions to missing funds, some of which still remain unsolved until today.
Today, things took a turn for the worse as their online banking portal, https://www.mybsn.com.my went down, presumably under heavy load as customers tried to conduct their end of month pay day transactions.
The MYBSN system remains offline at time of writing, and there has been no official statement so far on the outage from BSN via any of their social media channels. BSN customers however have taken to BSN’s facebook page to vent out their frustrations at the bank for the outage, as well as the other issues related to their online banking system.
We have attempted to reach BSN for an update on the situation, but have yet to receive any response. Their customer service hotline is also unreachable at time of writing.
