As we approach the Samsung 4X Fun Unpacked event happening in Malaysia this October 11th, the first clues (or more precisely leaks) of the device launching appears online. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2018) could be the rumored 4-camera smartphone that we might be seeing at the launch event.
The leaked specifications call for a main 24MP camera – presumably the same as the Galaxy A7 (2018) that was launched a few days ago. The second is expected to be the same as well – an 8MP f/2.4 120-degrees wide-angle camera. The other two cameras are said to be a 5MP and 10MP zoom camera. All combined, we should be seeing a 4X zoom range – hence the name of the Unpacked event.
Selfies are captured with the front 24MP camera – no multi-camera set-up there. Other features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, RAM of up to 6GB and up to 128GB internal storage. MicroSD expansion is expected as well.
Power will be provided by a 3720mAh battery according to the same leak. Android Oreo 8.1 will apparently be the pre-installed OS and for now, there’s no news if the phone will be getting Android 9 Pie. Biometric security is handled by the fingerprint scanner on its back.
Expect to learn more about the new phone from the Samsung 4X Fun Unpacked event on 11 October. So, stay tuned.
