The official distributor of GoPro products in Malaysia, FunSportz has revealed the Malaysian price for the rest of GoPro Hero 7 family members, the GoPro Hero 7 Silver and GoPro Hero 7 White. While the company has done so for the series’ highest-end model, the Hero 7 Black last night, the availability information for the two lower-end models was only released this morning.
The mid-tier model, Hero 7 Silver can be obtained for RM 1369 while the lowest-end model, Hero 7 White is listed at RM 949. Similar to Hero 7 Black, these prices are slightly higher than United States where they were listed at USD 299.99 (~RM1241), and USD 199.99 (~RM827) respectively.
Among the major differences that separate these two models from Hero 7 Black is the fact that they feature a lower resolution sensor at 10MP as opposed to 12MP. Other than that, they also don’t feature the new HyperSmooth Video stabilization as well as the Live Streaming feature as per Hero 7 Black.
Even though Hero7 Silver is able to record video at 4K resolution, its 4K frame rate is half of what Hero 7 Black can deliver while Hero 7 White video recording resolution is limited to 1080p. The slow-motion rate of both cameras is also much lower at 2x and GPS functionality has also been omitted from Hero 7 White.
Just like Hero 7 Black, consumers in Malaysia are able to place their pre-order for Hero 7 Silver and White through participating stores that are listed here. However, the travel kit that was offered for Hero 7 Black pre-orders doesn’t apply to these two lower-end models. All three GoPro Hero 7 models will be available in Malaysia starting from 27 September onwards.
