After much speculations, Samsung has officially unveiled the 2018 edition of its Galaxy A7 smartphone. True to what we have heard before, the new phone does come with not one, not two but three cameras on its back.
According to the specs sheet, the setup consisted of the main 24MP f/1.7 snapper alongside an 8MP f/2.4 120-degrees camera and 5MP f/2.2 depth camera. They are being arranged in vertical order with the depth camera being on top before followed by the main and ultra-wide cameras.
With the existence of the depth camera, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A7 will indeed feature adjustable bokeh effect. Additionally, the company also pointed out that the phone 24MP main snapper comes with automated oversampling feature for low light conditions which combines four pixels in one pixel to maintain the image clarity.
The phone also features a 24MP selfie camera which is accompanied by its own adjustable flash. As per most phone these days, the selfie camera experience can be enhanced with bokeh effect via Selfie Focus together with adjustable lighting effect through Pro Lighting Mode as well as AR emoji and filters.
Powered by an unspecified 2.2GHz octa-core processor, the Galaxy A7 also comes with a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. Also equipped with 3300mAh battery and support for Dolby Atmos, it can be obtained with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage depending on respective markets.
While the company didn’t provide any pricing for the new phone, Samsung stated that the Galaxy A7 will be released in Europe and Asia later this year. The Korean giant also reminds everyone that there is still more to come as Samsung will be having its next global Galaxy launch event on 11 October which will take place right here in Malaysia.
