With barely 4 hours left before the new season of UEFA Champions League kicks off, Astro has announced that it has finally obtained the broadcast rights for the event. This was confirmed by CK Lee, the Head of Sports for Astro through a short statement via Astro Awani.
Hence, Astro subscribers will be able to catch the tournament starting from 1255AM onwards. Here is how the schedule for today looks like:

However, Astro didn’t reveal further details regarding their new UCL broadcast deal. Judging from the “revelation” that went viral earlier this week and the fact the deal only went through at the very last minute, it seems that the company might have been forced to put all their cards on the table.
Nevertheless, football fans now should feel relief that they will be able to continue supporting their favorite European teams throughout one of the most popular football tournament around.
