The ASUS ROG Phone has yet to officially make it to our shores, and a local launch date is still pending from the company. In China, however, the phone was officially launch and has gone on sale.
Price-wise, the ROG Phone is priced at ¥5999 (~RM3625) for the variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB expandable storage, while the price jumps up to ¥7999 (~RM4840) for the model with 8GB RAM + 512GB expandable storage. Additionally, ASUS is selling a third variant of its gaming smartphone, known as the E-sports Armor Limited Edition. At a price point of ¥12999 (~RM7865). No additional information is known about this particular variant, but it is believed that it comes bundled with a range of special accessories.
The ASUS ROG Phone was first announced back in June, during Computex 2018. Other specs of the phone include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC that’s overclocked to 2.96GHz; 1 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate; and a specially designed GameCool vapor-chamer cooling solution.
The phone also features a dual 12MP + 8MP main camera array, and is fitted with a large 4000mAh battery. The ROG Phone also comes with a variety of accessories, such as the TwinView Dock, as well as a Mobile Desktop Dock, which clearly enables gamers to use a keyboard, mouse and external display for a more grounded desktop gaming experience.
