At this point, leaked videos and images of the Google Pixel 3 XL have pretty much given us a good look at the phone’s design, and it has still yet to officially launch. Imagine then how elated one Lyft driver in the US must have felt when he found a fully functioning test unit in his car.
According to The Verge, the driver had noticed that his last passenger had forgotten the phone and left it on the back seat of his car. Being a Pixel 2 XL owner himself, and because of the aforementioned leaks circling the internet, it didn’t take long for the driver to recognise that he was holding a pre-production unit of the Google Pixel 3 XL. Well, that and the phone’s notched display.
With such a gem in his hand, the driver naturally took a couple of photos of the Google Pixel 3 XL, in and out of its casing. Before finally returning it to it rightful owner.
The Google Pixel 3 XL is expected to make its debut alongside the Pixel 3 at an event in New York City on 9 October. However, it is still very unlikely that either phone will be making it to our shores.
