Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s launch is less than two weeks away, and plenty of trailers and gameplay footage of the game has been released online since then. One thing that has been missing though, is the hardware needed to run the PC version of the game. Until now.
Thanks to KitGuru, we now more or less have both the minimum and recommended system requirements to run the game on the PC, and it’s actually not as demanding as we would have expected it to be.
Minimum requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 or AMD equivalent
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 660, GTX 1050 or AMD Radeon HD 7770
- Storage: 40GB
Recommended requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB
- Storage: 40GB
We should stress that the hardware above does not factor in the game’s support for NVIDIA’s new real-time ray-tracing technology. The only way PC gamers will be able to even activate the feature is with one of NVIDIA’s brand new Turing-powered, GeForce RTX series GPUs. Which are set to go on sale next week on 20 September.
