HMD Global today has announced yet another new Android One device which is called Nokia 5.1 Plus at a launch event in New Delhi. However, it is not exactly an all-new device as for those as the phone has been previously launched in China as the Nokia X5.
The specifications for the Nokia 5.1 Plus are generally similar to Nokia X5. For starters, the phone comes standard with a 5.86-inch HD+ notched display together with MediaTek Helio P60 processor. It is also equipped with 13MP camera and 5MP depth sensor on its back together with an 8MP selfie camera.
However, the RAM and internal storage configuration for the international variant seems to be limited to 3GB and 32GB respectively. As a comparison, consumers in China are able to obtain the phone with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space.
Said to be available throughout the world starting from September onwards, the new Nokia 5.1 Plus carries a general price tag of EU 199 (about RM 941). While we have not yet received any words from HMD Global regarding the phone’s official availability and pricing in Malaysia, we expect that the phone will make its way into the country very soon.
