A new set of leaked images that depict Huawei’s upcoming Mate 20 Pro have appeared online. This time around, they seemed to feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner as well as a curved screen which are in-line with previous rumors.
One such photo showed a curved OLED display assembly that also includes fingerprint scanner on its back. If this assembly really belongs to Huawei, then this marks the first time an in-screen fingerprint reader has been implemented on the company’s device and that particular feature is still quite rare in the market.
Alongside the in-screen fingerprint scanner, the leaked images also indicate that the phone will have a display notch. Not only that, the notch is apparently bigger as compared to the P20 Pro which suggests that more hardware might be crammed into that area.
Besides the front selfie camera, it seems that there are also two extra camera cutouts on the notch area. Naturally, the reason behind these cutouts are not officially known for now but they are likely meant for face scanning module for the phone.
As interesting as these leaked images might be, do take them with a grain of salt until they are officially confirmed by Huawei. Then again, the wait might be not long though as the company could unveiled the new Mate 20 series in October if we follow last year’s launch timetable.
