According to our trusted industry sources, Nokia 6.1 Plus will be heading to Malaysia very soon. As you might know, the phone is the global version of Nokia X6 which was launched in China earlier this year before it was released in Hong Kong less than one month ago.
Built with an aluminum chassis and glass body, the 6.1 Plus is also equipped with 5.6-inch Full HD+ display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. In Hong Kong, the model carries 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage as standard. The phone is also equipped with 16MP + 5MP rear cameras and 16MP selfie camera together with 3060mAh battery.
However, the same sources pointed out that HMD Global team in Malaysia is still working to finalize the details regarding the release of the phone in our market. In addition to Nokia 6.1 Plus, our sources also added that several new models that have yet to be announced by HMD Global even on global level will be making their way here as well.
Naturally, they were not able to reveal exact details regarding these upcoming devices although that consumers in Malaysia will begin to be hearing about them starting from September onwards. Based of current rumors, we believe that one such devices is the global version of Nokia X5 which has been dubbed as the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
After all, HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas has previously tweeted that the company didn’t really need to come out with a poll to judge consumers’ interest on the global version of X5. With that, guess we should be hearing more from HMD Global regarding these new Nokia Android devices very soon.
