ASUS has officially launched its new VivoBook S15 S530 in Malaysia. First announced at Computex 2018 earlier this year, the new S530 variant is basically a refresh of the company’s VivoBook S15 lineup, but with a few changes to its design.
One of these changes is the VivoBook S15’s new Ergo Lift hinge. The hinge essentially elevates the notebook, tilting it slightly off a flat surface to give users a similar feeling to typing on a full-sized keyboard.
The second change to the notebook is its new Nano Edge display. Compared to traditional notebook displays, the 15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) display on the VivoBook S15 features thin bezels. Giving it a larger 86% screen-to-body ratio.
ASUS has also ditched the traditional and gaudy colour options. Instead, the new VivoBook S15 S530 series is also available in a variety of colours, which include Firmament Green, Star Grey, Silver Blue, Gun Metal, and Icicle Gold.
Specs-wise, the ASUS VivoBook S15 S530 is available in three configuration. The base model comes with an Intel 8th generation Core i5-8250H, 4GB RAM, a 128GB SDD + 1TB HDD, and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. This model will retail for RM2999. The second model is similar, but comes with a bigger 256GB SSD, and will cost RM3299.
The top-of-the-line model of the VivoBook S15 comes with an Intel 8th generation Core i7-8550H, 4GB RAM, a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD combo, and a GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. The ASUS VivoBook S15 S530 are already available at all authorised resellers.
