The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was just introduced right here in Brooklyn, and we have Malaysian pre-order details for the phone already. Set to go live tomorrow on 10 August, you can place your pre-order for the Note 9 from RM3,699.
Both variants of the Galaxy Note 9 will be coming to Malaysia. The base model with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM retails at RM3,699, while the more enticing 512GB model with 8GB of RAM will go for RM4,599 – quite a steep price tag.
But to sweeten the deal, Samsung Malaysia is throwing in a number of freebies. Those who pre-order the 512GB Note 9 will receive a Samsung Gear Sport smartwatch, an extra watch band, as well as a wireless charger. In total, these items are worth RM1,531. If you opt to get the more affordable 128GB model instead, you’ll get the Gear Sport worth RM1,219.
Without a doubt the Galaxy Note 9 is not an affordable flagship smartphone, but to put things into perspective, the base model of the Galaxy S9+ – with only 64GB of storage – retailed at RM3,799 when it was first launched in Malaysia. The 128GB S9+, on the other hand, went for RM3,999. In retrospect, these are actually pretty reasonable price tags for the Galaxy Note 9 – especially for its feature set.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available for pre-order in Malaysia tomorrow on 10 August through the dedicated pre-order website by Samsung Malaysia. If you’d like to learn more about Samsung’s latest smartphone, check out our hands on right here.
