It seems that we are getting closer to the launch of motherboards based on Intel’s high-end Z390 chipset. ASRock has apparently listed five unreleased Z390 mainboards on its official support website; which indirectly means that they will most probably be launched very soon. Knowing how ASRock already has at least five different Z390 motherboards ready to be launched, other manufacturers are likely preparing their own offerings as well.
That aside, the five ‘confirmed’ upcoming ASRock motherboards are the Z390 Extreme4, Z390 Pro4, Z390 Taichi, Z390 Taichi Ultimate, and Z390M Pro4 – the latter being a smaller sized mainboard. Unfortunately, aside from their respective names, not much else is known regarding the specifications and special features of these motherboards.
Interestingly, folks at VideoCardz have mentioned that they are aware of a few other ASRock Z390 motherboard models that were not listed on the official support page. These are the Z390 Fatal1ty Gaming K4, Z390 Fatal1ty Gaming K6, Z390 Master series, and Z390 SLI Xtreme. It’s not known whether these mainboards will be launched alongside the five ‘officially listed’ ASRock Z390 motherboards in the near future.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see just how well ASRock’s Z390 motherboards will perform alongside Intel’s upcoming processors. And equally as interesting would be to see the Z390-based mainboards that will be introduced by other manufacturers as well. Hopefully it won’t take long for us to finally find out.
