ASUS recently added a new notebook variant to its TUF Gaming FX504 gaming notebook lineup. Off the bat, the new variant’s 15.6″ Full HD display now has a 120Hz refresh rate, versus the standard 60Hz that the other variants come with. On top of that, the display also has a 3ms response time, as opposed to the 25ms response time used in the displays of the earlier variants.
Another major upgrade to the FX504 is the notebook’s GPU. Instead of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, the new model comes outfitted with a GeForce GTX 1060. Of course, having a more powerful GPU means that the notebook would produce more heat. Which is why ASUS also equipped the new FX504 with a more powerful dual 12V fan with Anti-Dust Tunnels in order to keep the entire notebook and its new components cool.
Besides these increments, The new FX504 still comes with a choice between an Intel Core i5-8300H or Core i7-8750H, up to 8GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, a 128GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, and an optional 1TB FireCuda Hybrid SSHD. It also features ASUS’ DTS Headphone: X 7.1-channel surround sound technology for headphones, notebook speakers, and external speakers.
The new TUF Gaming FX504 is already available for purchase at all authorised ASUS notebook resellers. The official SRP for the notebook is RM3999 for the model with the Core i5-8300H CPU, and RM4999 for the model with the Core i7-8750H CPU.
