After being teased for quite some time, Honor Play is finally going to receives its official launch in Malaysia later today. That being said, there are still some time to go before we able to learn about its actual retail availability and price in our market though.
Nevertheless, we managed to get a glimpse of the phone ahead of its launch through our quick unboxing above. As a refresher, the Honor Play is one of the first phone in the market to offer GPU Turbo capability which apparently allows the phone to deliver performance improvements of up to 60% as well as 30% lower power consumption as compared to Kirin 960-based devices.
Speaking about processor, the Honor Play is powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 970 processor just like its higher-end sibiling, the Honor 10. Built with 6.3-inch full HD display, the phone also features 64GB internal storage with up to 6GB of RAM although it is not known at the moment which variant that Honor will release in Malaysia.
Alongside 3D sound capability, users can also experience the phone’s 4D haptic feedback although this is largely depending on the game that users play such as PUBG Mobile. The Honor Play also comes standard with 16MP + 2MP rear camera, 16MP front camera, and 3750mAh battery.
