Kano has just released a new electronics kit with a magical twist. The Kano Harry Potter Coding Kit combines the magical worlds of Harry Potter and computer programming into a wireless magical wand.
The kit consists of a motion-tracking wand along with Kano’s simple-to-use programming software. Motions made with the wand will translate into actions and effects on screen. Using Bluetooth, the wand will change your flick into a spell on the PC, macOS, Android or iOS device.
What makes Kano programming simple is the jigsaw puzzle-like components that users can drag and connect to create actions and functions for the wand. The programming language is based on Javascript, so advanced users can fly-past the simple blocks and straight away program like a wizard.
Kano is pricing the Harry Potter Coding Kit for US$99.99 (RM 406) as pre-order right now. The company expects the kit to be shipped out by October worldwide.
