Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J8 and J6, its two latest entries into its J series range. The Galaxy J8 features a 6-inch HD+ diplay, while the J6’s display measures in at 5.6-inch HD+ display. However, both its displays come equipped with Samsung’s Super AMOLED display technology, as well as the Infinity Display design.
Specs-wises, the Galaxy J8 is fitted with a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card), and a 3500mAh battery. It’s main camera uses a dual 16MP f/1.7+5MP f/1.9 sensor setup, while the front-facing camera is a 16MP f/1.9 shooter.
The Galaxy J6 shares almost identical hardware, save for a few exceptions. Firstly, it’s got a smaller 3000mAh battery. Additionally, it’s CPU speed clocks in at just 1.6GHz, and instead of a dual camera array, the main camera is a single 13MP f/1.9 shooter. It’s front-facing camera is a step down from the J8, and uses an 8MP sensor instead of 16MP.
Both the Galaxy J8 and J6 are already available for purchase at all Samsung Experience stores and the Samsung Malaysia Online stores. The J8 will retails at an SRP of RM999, and the J6 at RM749. Both models are available in three colour variants: purple, black, and gold.
