Rumour has it that Nvidia may very likely launch it next-generation GeForce graphics cards sometime in late August. Youtuber “Gamer Meld” have apparently received an email from an unnamed Nvidia AIB partner, mentioning the release dates of Nvidia’s 11-series (not officially confirmed name) graphics cards.
The email stated that due to the oversupply of current generation GTX 10 series graphics cards, Nvidia has decided that it will delay the launch of its new generation of graphics cards. Interestingly, the alleged email from the Nvidia AIB partner specifically mentioned that the green company’s upcoming graphics cards will be named “GTX 1180”, “GTX 1170”, and “GTX 1160”. Besides that, the email also included another graphics card called the “GTX 1180+”, which VideoCardz expects to be just a custom model from the AIB partner rather than a new Nvidia SKU.
As mentioned earlier, the GTX 1180 is expected to launch on 30th August. Meanwhile the GTX 1170 and 1180+ will be available starting 30th September. Finally, the mid-range GTX 1160 will most likely be unveiled around 30th October this year. Custom models based on reference graphics cards by Nvidia are also expected to be released around the same time as well.
