Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Max 3, and it’s bigger than ever. Now sporting a huge 6.9-inch display and an equally large 5,500mAh battery, this phablet is…quite a sizeable device. Of course, it still continues Xiaomi’s aggressive pricing strategy too.

One of the main appeals of Mi Max phones has always been their large displays, and Xiaomi took it a step further and expanded the Mi Max 3’s display to 6.9-inch – the Mi Max 2 only had a 6.44-inch screen. Of course, it’s now a taller 18:9 Full HD+ display, so the overall dimension of the new phablet is still largely similar to its predecessor.

Aside from that, the Mi Max 3 is equipped with a huge 5,500mAh battery, compared to the Mi Max 2’s slightly smaller 5,300mAh cell. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, the Mi Max 3 should be able to provide a good level of performance too. After all, it’s the same SoC that’s under the hood of the excellent Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

Other specifications of the Mi Max 3 include up to 6GB of RAM, two storage options (64GB or 128GB), a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera system – with AI enhancements – as well as an 8MP front-facing shooter.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is currently announced only for the Chinese market, and it retails at 1,699 Chinese yuan (about RM1,015) for the 64GB model with 4GB of RAM. The higher-end 128GB variant with 6GB of RAM, on the other hand, goes for 1,999 yuan (about RM1,195).
