Alongside the section for unifi Basic plan, there is also another new section on unifi’s official website that has gone live earlier today which is dedicated to TM’s Broadband Improvement Plan (BIP). As you might already know, the upcoming speed upgrade for existing unifi and Streamyx customers is part of BIP.
During the media briefing earlier this week, TM stated that the speed upgrade for unifi customers which is also referred to as unifi Turbo will begin on 15 August. In the same briefing, the company also said that Streamyx customers are able to check for the details of their speed upgrade on unifi’s website starting from today onwards.
However, the new BIP section on unifi’s official website revealed that the actual date for both activities will take place starting from 18 July instead. The site also said that unifi customers can check the details of their own speed upgrade through the website on the same date.
Not to forget, there is also small note on the website which stated that both unifi and Streamyx customers must provide their consent to TM before the company can proceed with the speed upgrade. This is something that have happened before during TM’s previous speed upgrade exercise last year.
All in all, this is a rather interesting revelation by TM although it seems that we still have to wait until 18 July to get the full picture.
